Introduction

LearnDelphi.tv is the Internets premier site for instructional video on using Delphi.  Since about 2007 I've been producing free video tutorials on using Delphi.  More recently I've created a series of commercial videos which provide amazing value for money.  While aimed at beginners, even seasoned Delphi users should find the content useful.

Training and Consultancy

Sometimes watching videos and reading articles isn't enough to learn what you need - often it is far more helpful to talk to a real person.  Finding a Delphi expert you can communicate with can be a tricky problem - no longer. Alister Christie is now available on Skype for consultation on Delphi problems and training.

Testimonial

I'm a newbie to Delphi and was looking round (for a while) for some video's to give me a head start. Luckly for me I found Alister's site - not only are there many free videos and infomation snippits, there are also two (currently) brilliant and comprehensive paid videos. The vid's are a great price and are packed full of info about delphi in general, loads of components, how to use them and some comedy too! If you don't buy them, you'll always be behind me...

Nothing else to add by way of improvements, but if you do another - i'll be purchasing it!

Thanks for all your work - it's a great help to me.

Kind regards,

Guy

Movie #117 - Bowling game code kata

This is the classic bowling game code kata, it's an illustration of test driven development.

I was first made aware of it in one of Uncle Bob's (Robert C Martin) videos on CleanCoders.com.  I've produced this as an example of doing it using Delphi. This video was produced for the Intensive Delphi online conference, you can find the channel for it here.

There are a lot of things skipped in this this kata (edge cases, bad input etc.), but it does provide a simple and clear introduction on how to do TDD.  Watch it on YouTube.
